Scholarships for US students to study in Taiwan

Taiwan Scholarship
Purpose: It is provided by four four government agencies in Taiwan, including the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), and the National Science Council of the Executive Yuan (NSC). These agencies have jointly sponsored the Taiwan Scholarship Program to encourage outstanding international students to undertake degree programs in Taiwan. The Scholarship provides study opportunities in a wide range of disciplines at Taiwan’s best universities and colleges, including such leading fields as information technologies, international relations and business.

Eligibility: both undergraduates and graduate students.

Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange
Purpose: It provides various grant programs to support the research related to China and Taiwan (for Ph.D dissertation, field study in China or Taiwan, etc.)

Eligibility: graduate students.

Purpose: It provides scholarship for doctoral dissertation research in Chinese studies.
